The concept for the book started while reading “Banksy on Advertising”. After learning that the article was almost entirely ripped off from Sean Tejaratchi, my project became about plagiarism as well as advertising. I cut the Flower Thrower stencil in my style and repeated it in a sketchbook, then explored different ways to use the shape by drawing various scenes inspired by my life experiences. I chose the strongest concept sketches and laid out the book with a consistent flow, while keeping the authentic nature of the sketchbook. These concepts turned into larger works, which became the Bastardised art exhibition.
